Sneaker Season

The past few months I have had a big obsession with sneakers. Enough with wearing boots and flats with your outfit to class. Pair it with sneakers. I know some people are not so fond of the idea, but that is because it takes some getting used to. If you start to read some fashion blogs and Instagram’s, you will start to realize how sneakers really can work with everyday wear. For example, Danielle from We Wore What, is all about pairing sneakers with just about anything! Check out some of my favorites…

  1. Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 (Pictured Below: @nikilbader)
  2. Nike Flyknit Roshe
  3. Adidas Ultra Boost
  4. APL Techloom Pro (Black/Gold/Silver)
  5. The Trainer by Puma

Future’s Album Release Party #TBT

future album release

This Thursday, I am throwing it back to remember the best party I have EVER attended. This past summer in NYC, I was interning for an event company. I worked at many events, but I knew this one would be different. When I found out that the party was to celebrate the rapper, Future’s new album, I was ecstatic. His album, DS2, was a hit from the moment it dropped that evening. I knew that this would be a party filled with celebrities, amazing music, and memories. I was very right. I thought that listening to Future’s new album, while watching him perform was the coolest part of my night..until he took a selfie with me. Now that was amazing. #TBT to a night that I will never forget!

Budapest, Hungary

Budapest was such a cool place to visit. It was unlike a lot of other cities I have seen. There were two sides of the city. One called Buda and one called Pest. Both sides have two totally different personalities, which is what makes the city so interesting. Pest has more of the bars, shops, and tourists. Buda has the castle and more history. I truly loved Budapest so much and have some tips for where to go, what to eat, and what to see, if you ever visit too.

What should you do in Budapest?

  • Go to Hummusbar Budapest and get some delicious falafel and fresh pita
  • See the Holocaust memorial shoes on the Pest side of the river at sunset
  • Get a beer at the Szimpla ruins bar and check out the awesome environment
  • Relax in the Széchenyi Thermal Baths
  • Take a dinner cruise on the river and take pictures with the glowing Parliament buildings

My Moment on E! News #TBT

On September 7, 2012, I had the opportunity of interning for Fashion’s Night Out in New York City. The event took place at Bloomingdales during New York Fashion Week. The company I was interning for was doing a meet and greet for Twilight’s, Kellan Lutz. Kellan was meeting all of his fans as I was assisting him. He was definitely one of the sweetest celebrities that I have ever encountered. As I was standing there, one of the employees said that they needed someone to sit in the bed with Kellan as he fed them cookies for the press. That was when they pointed to me. I did exactly what they told me in front of all of the cameras, fans, employees, and press surrounding me. It wasn’t until later that day that my friend called me and said, “Remi you’re on E! News!” I probably watched it over and over again for the next month. It was definitely one of my greatest #TBT moments and I will never forget it.

My Favorite Albums of 2016

What albums am I listening to these days? What is so great about them? These are my favorite albums currently and why you should listen to them yourself..

Rihanna’s album came out January 28, 2016. If you are Rihanna fan like me, you have been waiting for another Rihanna album to come out for a long time now. This album is just what I was missing. It is filled with Rihanna’s sass, sexuality, and romances. Download it! Bryson Tiller is a newer male artist. I would say he is a mix between Trey Songz, Chris Brown, and Usher. Now who wouldn’t want to listen to that? His album is exactly what the title says. It is trap and soul put into one and it is unbelievable. Chris Brown’s newest album, Royalty, debuted at number three on the U.S. Billboard 200. This album is solely R&B and I love R&B more than words. If you like Chris Brown’s older albums, you will like this one too. Adele’s album, reminded us all of what a beautiful voice she always had. Her newest songs about life and love were what all of us Adele lovers needed. Lastly, Justin Bieber’s newest album was one of the best albums I have heard in a while. I guess I am a little biased because I have always been a Justin Bieber fan, but I think everyone would agree that this album was a hit. Even boys sing along to the lyrics. Although Purpose came out in November, the songs on the album aren’t even close to dying out yet. Shoutout to my favorite artist, Justin Bieber, who is turning twenty two years old today. Wish we could celebrate together!

Milan Fashion Week

Since I was younger, I have always dreamed of going to Milan. I knew that Milan was the fashion capital of the world, but never knew how truly extraordinary it was. Having the opportunity to be in Milan during Milan Fashion Week was life changing. In addition, I even got to see a fashion show!  We packed a lot of activities and events into two days, but it was so worth it. On Friday, after having the most amazing sushi at Nobu, we got to go to a showroom presentation by a designer named Martina Grasselli. The showroom was filled with modern and sophisticated shoes. I wish I could have bought every pair! In the afternoon, we went to the fashion hub market to see young designer collections. After, we went to the Corso Como art gallery, bookshop, and fashion shop. On Saturday, we went to the Giorgio Armani Museum. I have never been so emotional about fashion and clothing, but you would be too. The detail and hard work that went into designing these clothes was incredible. The museum was separated into four floors of magnificent garments. If you haven’t gone already, I would start planning your trip now! After the museum, we got to go to the Leitmotiv fashion show. Leitmotiv is a younger fashion label that is based in Bologna, Italy. The show was filled with lively colors, patterns, and upbeat music. At the end of the day, we went to the Vogue Next Talents presentation. This was where young, new designers that were represented by Vogue, got to show off their clothing lines. Everything about the whole entire weekend was beyond amazing. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! Until next time Milano..
